Fused Glass Totem Workshop at Copper Moon Studio

Celebrating our 20th “Mooniversary” at Copper Moon this fall, we’re bringing back one of our most popular classes: Glass Totems!

A totem tells a story about connection. It can represent a connection to your spirituality, your community, your ancestors, or something entirely your own. Totems can symbolize belonging and identity. So what story will yours tell?

Get creative with fused glass in this hands on class! Minimal cutting is required, and you’ll have some extra fun ingredients to explore, including dichroic scraps (sparkly, shiny glass that EVERYONE loves), glass pot melt stones (unique stones formed from molten glass), “stringer stones” (geometric striped stones), and a WAZER shape of your choice, with lots of intricate precut designs to choose from.

You’ll also have bubbledots, liquid glass, stringers, and, of course, colorful sheet glass to work with. We’ll focus on simple shapes and patterns to fill your looonnnnggg and skinny glass totem. Along the way, you’ll learn the basics of fused glass and glass cutting, with an experienced instructor there to guide you.

Please note: Hand strength and dexterity are important for proper tool usage in this class. Sessions are approximately 2 to 2.5 hours. All materials are provided.
