Jan Bell reflects on his extended periods spent in the wilderness of North America, exploring how this deep immersion in the natural world shapes his work and artistic voice. This presentation will feature recent photographs from Bell’s 75-day trek across Newfoundland, a land of rugged coastlines, towering icebergs, whales, and puffins. Through these images, he captures not only the island’s striking beauty, but also its profound sense of solitude and remoteness.
