COVINGTON, KENTUCKY – October 4, 2026 – Art Equals, a non-profit that empowers everyone to be an artist by providing community-driven accessible opportunities for creative growth and healing, will bring the local community together for the 5th annual Woolly Fest.

Woolly Fest is a signature event of Art Equals. Through Woolly Fest, Art Equals supports local creators, from the farmers who raise beautiful fleece, to those who use all kinds of fiber materials to create amazing textiles and handicrafts. Woolly Fest convenes knitters, weavers, dyers, spinners, and the public in one space to meet, connect, learn, share, and be inspired by fiber magic.

In addition, Art Equals will hold Woolly Workshops on Saturday, November 7, the day before the festival. People may register for a variety of workshops, including sculptural felt, stitched felt, how-to zines, knitting, straw loom weaving, and more! The preliminary workshop schedule is as follows:

* Sculptural Felt: 9:00AM - 12:00PM

* Knit an Amulet Bag: 10:00AM - 12:00PM

* Stitched Felt Magical Mushrooms: 1 - 4:00PM

* How-to Zines: 1 - 2:00PM

* Introduction to Straw Loom Weaving: 1 - 4:00 PM
